INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY

To fulfill the Humanities credit requirement I chose PHIL 1000 (Introduction to Philosophy) with Professor Jeffrey M. Wood in the Spring 2018 term as an accelerated 8-week course.

WOW. This course has been incredible. Professor Wood is brilliant; he is mesmerizing, animated, knowledgeable, and he challenges me to think in different ways. He is a talented teacher. I had a rudimentary idea of what philosophy entailed before I came to his class, and I was somewhat interested in the subject. I don't think my expectations for a course have ever been so greatly exceeded as in this case. Every class period and reading assignment expanded the limits of my understanding; my mind was blown every class. I Loved it (with a capital L). I know that what I have learned here will affect my life henceforth. I feel more educated, and I'm thoughtful in a new way. I think everyone should take this class.
